Assesment

The new scheme for classes VI-VIII has been designed on Term Assessment basis with gradual increase in the learning assessment as the students move forward. This would prepare the students to cover the whole syllabus of the academic year and face the challenge of class X Board examination, and would thus, ensure the ‘quality of education’.

 

Scholastic Area:

The assessment structure and examination for classes VI to VIII comprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and 2 as explained in above Table in image file:

 

Co-Scholastic Activities (Classes VI-VIII):

For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out.

 

1. Work Education - Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community.

 

2. Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)

 

3. Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.)

 

Discipline (Classes VI-VIII):

The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, and tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A=Outstanding, B=Very Good and C=Fair)

 

Examination Guidelines for the Students:-

Students are expected to report on time on the day of the examination, preferably 30 minutes before the formal commencement of the examination. The student must wear appropriate school uniform. They are expected not to speak to any other student inside the examination room. They should not carry any objectionable item inside the examination room like any book, note copy, a piece of paper containing notes, calculator, mobile, smart-watch, etc. The school will cancel examination of a student and award 0 (ZERO) mark, if found with the above mentioned objectionable items or using unfair means during examination.
